I've just been too busy to post blog entries - sorry -- those of you that know me well know that I have a messy personal life... I have almost been too busy to work out and prep for Danskin 2009... but both Deb and I completed the "dress rehearsal" tri last Satuday so it looks like "the other Allen & Gates" will ride again this coming Sunday.
The "dress rehearsal" was a 1/2 mile swim (the same as next week, except at Wildcat Lake instead of Lake Washington), a 9-10 mile bike (instead of 12-13) and a 2 mile walk/run (instead of 3). Coach Lisa believes in tapering down.
As usual, Deb finished each leg first, and was nice enough to wait for so that we at least started out together. Next Sunday she'll probably finish in under 2 hours, and this time I might just take 3+ (instead of 2.5-).
